"5 minutes with..." an art project by German based artist Ralf Pytlik

"5 minutes with ..." is an international art project of the German based artist Ralf Pytlik. In five minutes people are used as a "model" to create a new artwork. You have to know that the character will not be presented as a caricature or kind of photorealistic rather the artist captures those people and creates a new high-level work of art within 5 minutes. The outcome of this is that Ralf Pytlik will release an art book in collaboration with a publishing company. More updates, please visit 5 minutes with on facebook.

Banana Peel Art Drawn With a Safety Pin

Artist Honey, founder of the website Sweet-Station, has discovered a unique way to turn bananas into art. The graphic artist and illustrator always has bananas around the house and, one day, she decided to draw on the outside peel. But, the pen kept poking through the skin so Honey picked up a safety pin and started illustrating through a creative pointillism technique. She makes small punctures in the skin, allowing air to reach the fruit. As the punctured banana peel turns brown, the organized patterns of dots reveal various and incredibly detailed designs, such as portraits of The Blues Brothers and Jim Morrison, as well as playful messages spread across a bunch, like "I want a banana split."

Each piece takes anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours to create and, when she's done, Honey takes a photograph and then eats her art as a snack! (by Katie Hosmer)

Pen Doodles By Artist Kerby Rosanes

Philippines-based illustrator Kerby Rosanes calls his incredile artworks doodles, which laves us wondering what we’re supposed to call the scribbles we make out of boredom. His incredibly intricate illustrations show worlds within worlds that are all wrapped up together in a grand composition, making his artwork just as beautiful from close up as it is from afar.

This talented young artist had been doodling in his free time for years until he was recognized by various art and design blogs. This acknowledgement turned his hobby into a freelance job, making his extraordinary drawings more accessible to us.
